You know those stories that make you believe in perfect timing? Grab your coffee, because this one's going to make your heart smile.
Picture this: Two sisters, separated by cities (London and Amsterdam, to be exact), suddenly find out they're due to have their babies just three days apart. Talk about the universe having a plan! This beautiful coincidence brought them back together during maternity leave, and that's when the magic happened – The Mom Self-Love Club was born.
But here’s the thing – this wasn’t their first rodeo together. Back in college, before Instagram was even a thing (yes, that long ago!), they started a blog that unexpectedly took off, landing them TV spots and media features. Life had other plans then, pulling them in different directions. But sometimes, the best chapters come after a pause, right?

"It all started when we were in college," they tell me, reminiscing about their first venture together – a blog that took off before Instagram was even a thing. TV appearances and media features followed, but life had other plans. One sister moved to London, the other to Amsterdam, and their paths diverged... or so they thought.
Destiny Had Other Plans
Here’s where destiny gets deliciously sneaky: their babies' due dates ended up just three days apart!
"It gave us the opportunity of spending our maternity leaves together, and then it just kind of clicked," they share with that knowing sister-smile. "We knew it was time to start a new business together, keeping our sisterly spirit but now focusing on motherhood."

The Secret to Working with Your Sister? NO FILTERS!
When I ask about their secret to working together, they don’t miss a beat:
"NO FILTERS!" They laugh, explaining the unique advantage of sister partnerships. "You can be 1000% yourself because the other person always knows where you're coming from and what you're getting at."
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the beauty of doing business with someone who’s seen you in your awkward teen phases and still thinks you’re brilliant?
Of course, like any great love story, it comes with its challenges.
"The most challenging part of working together is that it never ever stops, truly!" they admit. "Being sisters means you always pick up each other's calls, 11pm on weekdays or 8am on a weekend when the kids decide they're done sleeping." (Hands up if you feel seen! 🙋♀️)
From Lawyer & Marketer to Mompreneurs
Before The Mom Self-Love Club, their lives looked vastly different –
"That of a Lawyer for one of us and that of a Creative Marketing & Branding Agency Entrepreneur for the other," they share.
But motherhood? That changed everything.
"Motherhood puts it all into perspective (even though sometimes it is all out of focus)."
A Day in the Life of Sister Entrepreneurs
Their typical day reads like a beautiful chaos we all know too well:
7:00 AM: Wake-up, quick workout (if possible!), 5-minute journal entry, getting ready for the day.
8:30 AM: School run – dropping off the kids and grabbing coffee along the way.
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Work, meetings, and one too many sister FaceTimes.
1:00 PM: Lunch break.
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Back to work, running errands.
4:00 PM - 8:00 PM: School pickups, afternoon snacks, playtime, dinner, and bedtime routines.
8:30 PM - 11:00 PM: Dinner with their partners, catching up on the day, and winding down with a good book.
The Myth of Work-Life Balance (and What Actually Works)
And about that mythical work-life balance? They keep it refreshingly real:
"We have to admit we haven't found the way of striking a perfect balance between everything."
Instead, they focus on quality over quantity, believing that:
"Even if it is 10 or 15 minutes of whatever suits you, those moments of self-care matter."
More Than a Business—A Sisterhood of Support
Their story isn’t just about building a business – it’s about two sisters who found a way to turn their deepest bond into a force for good in the motherhood space.
Because sometimes the best business ideas don’t come from market research or trend analysis, but from the heart of what matters most:
💛 Family.
💡 Understanding.
🤝 That special kind of love that only sisters share.
